Art Classes Starting in January

It's the NEW YEAR which means this is a great time to finally learn to draw or paint. I am pleased to announce that classes in Beginning Drawing, Beginning Painting and Intermediate Painting will be starting in January. It is highly recommended that you know how to draw before taking a painting class. Each class is held for three hours each week for an 8 week session. Homework assignments will supplement weekly instruction.

All classes meet in the studio classroom at the Tucson Artist Colony, 2405 N Castro Avenue. (map)

In order to devise a schedule best suited for everyone, I have included a short survey for you to complete. Thanks for your time and interest. Your name and email will never be distributed to anyone. After reading the information below, click here to complete the survey.

Student Testimonials:

"Once in a great while, if we are very lucky, we come across a teacher who stands out from the crowd. Brenda is such a person. She is not only a gifted artist but she is also a gentle critic, a patient teacher and a lovely person. Though I have only known her for a short time, she has provided me insight into both ways of better "seeing" as well as hands on techniques for improving my art work. I would highly recommend her to anyone from the most basic beginner to more advanced students who are serious about improving their drawing and painting skills."--James Haines

"What wonderful classes! I took both the Drawing I and Drawing II classes and learned so much! I graduated from stick figures and negative self talk, thinking I had no talent, to learning about perspective and values and being pleasantly surprised and proud of the results of my efforts! Brenda is a very patient and encouraging teacher! If you want to learn the basics of drawing in a very supportive environment, her class is the place!"
----Linda T.

"I started Brenda's Pencil Drawing class without any previous drawing experience. I had fun and learned a great deal. I went on to take the next class Charcoal drawing. I really enjoyed using Charcoal and had certainly improved from my first pencil class.
Brenda is fun to be with and very patient and helps so much in developing skills. I'll go back again and learn more from Brenda." ----Bev
